Anglin Falls

Anglin Falls is one of the better kept secrets around here.  Everyone knows about it, but few people know how to find it, or even how to find the parking lot.  The nature preserve is about 15 miles from Berea, off a side road, off a side road, up a holler, down a gravel road....  You get the picture.  But if you ever find it, especially in the spring, you'll experience nature at its very best.  I've been told that 60% of the wildflowers that grow in Kentucky can be found here at Anglin Falls.  It's an amazing place that changes from week to week.  The trail begins at the parking lot and winds gently through the forest and up to the falls, an easy walk.  There is even a friendly resident dog to accompany you.  If you watch, you might see a green tree snake twining up through branches beside the trail.  I visited the Falls twice this spring, and below are just a few of the wildflowers I saw.
